...WAFFLES...

As soon as I started planning this layout, all I could think about was this: 

I love a good comedy. And it's ridiculous how often this phrase actually plays in my head. Even when I'm not actually thinking about breakfast or waffles.

Anyway, I like having scrapping kits available that focus on the more different sides of life. Some of the everyday, ordinary happenings. When I saw the kit for Time for Pancakes that was being released I knew exactly what I was going to do with it.

I may not always be great at taking pictures of simple, everyday, somewhat mundane moments, but my mother-in-law is a little better at things like that. She was watching the kids for a few nights while my husband and I celebrated our anniversary and one morning she took photos of the kids enjoying their waffle breakfast.

...FAMILY...

It's no easy feat to get 7 children and their families together, on the same day, in the same room, and at the same time. Somehow, my parents manage to get us to do just that more often than not. It's also not really easy to do when one sibling lives in another country altogether, so we consider it an accomplishment if the 6 of us show up.

My siblings and I don't really talk as often as we should. We all get busy with our own lives and our own family responsibilities, which is a little bit sad, but also the way life seems to go for a lot of people. That being said, when it really matters, we all make the extra effort to make it happen.

And that's just what all the siblings who live in this country did for my daughter at her wedding. If there's one word that describes my family it would be: supportive. I am so grateful for each of them and the sacrifices they made to be there for an important day in my daughter's life.

I asked my mother-in-law to take some pictures of us all together and then with our parents. At some point, the actual photographer came by and took a couple of shots as well. I felt these photos would go well with Gingerscraps January 2023 Monthly Mix.
