...HAPPY HUNTING...

One of the many perks of having multiple children is that I never run out of photos to scrap. But on the other hand, having so many options is also a struggle for me. I'm not great at making decisions.

Easter kits are some of my favorites. I fall in love with all the cute, little bunny elements and I want to include as many as I can. Obviously, I don't always succeed as some photos call for more serious layouts, but it doesn't stop me from wanting all the bun-bun kits.

When I saw Aimee Harrison's release for April's Buffet at Gingerscraps, I immediately started thinking of the egg hunts we've done through the years. I then took a look at the color palette and of course, the purple stood out to me. I'm always going to be drawn to purples. Immediately, I remembered an egg hunt we had where child #5, Ailey, was wearing purple. I found those photos and went to work.

Like most almost 3-year-olds, Ailey's mood was a little bit everywhere this day. She was impatient waiting to start the hunt and then maybe got a little frustrated at times during the hunt and then she was super excited by all the fun things she found in her eggs.

...FUN & RAIN...

This past November, my husband and I took a trip to Disneyland. Kiddo #4 had the chance to march down Main Street with the high school marching band, so we took advantage of the opportunity and took a smallish early anniversary trip to have some fun, but to also support our kid.

It rained 2 of the 3 days we were there. By the 3rd day, my husband was over it and tired and just wanted to go back to the hotel and relax. I had different feelings. Because it was the last day, I didn't want to call it a night. We eventually worked out a compromise and ended up doing something we had forgotten about by making that compromise.

The colors in April's 2023 Free With Purchase kit from Gingerscraps worked perfectly with some of the photos we took that day, so I put the two together and came up with this fun and rainy layout.

...RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING...

My mom grew up in the 60's and 70's and she introduced me to quite a bit of music that stays with me today. Songs I've even included on my Spotify playlist. My music taste is a little everywhere, but I'm okay with that.

One song that my mom really enjoyed (or maybe it was just that she thought the artist was cute) was Raindrops Keep Falling by B.J. Thomas. I've included the video, just for fun.

When I saw that the title of the Gingerscraps April 2023 Challenge Reward was Raindrops Keep Falling, my mind immediately went to this song. The problem I had was trying to find a photo to go with the theme of the kit. It took me a few minutes, but then I remembered that Ailey had spent some time in the rain last Summer.

I put them together and got this layout. I like that it has a bit of a more grown-up feel to it and I, of course, used lyrics from the song on my layout.

...MR. TANIS...

The Gingerscraps Monthly Mix for April 2023 is called Easter Morning. And once again, I was immediately drawn to the purple of the color palette. I *might* have a bit of a problem.

This time, I didn't have a problem finding which Easter photos to use, but I had a difficult time narrowing down which kiddo I wanted to focus on. The two youngest kids (at the time) weren't in the best of moods when we were taking photos, so I didn't want to use this pretty kit with ornery kid photos. That left three choices: Tanis, Shaylyn, or Lex.

Lex's photos were awesome, but, something just didn't 'feel' right when I thought of him for this layout. I've done quite a bit of Shaylyn's photos recently so, I decided to focus on Tanis. I found a good template that I thought would work with my chosen photos and I went to work.
