...JACEN (EASTER 2016)...

Last night, while I was out and about, I saw a message on Facebook in the group for the Gingerscraps team that there were some new releases releasing today that needed more layouts. I knew I'd have a bit of time when I returned home, so I planned to do what I could.

Well, I was out and about a little longer than I had originally thought, and though I was able to complete this one page, that was all I could do creatively. I felt bad because there were a couple of other collections I would have worked with, but I just didn't have the energy.

That being said, I did get this one done and it's one more page scrapped that wouldn't have been done otherwise, so I'm not complaining. What drew me into this collection were cute little animal elements: lambs, chicks, that sort of thing. However, after creating my layout I didn't even include a single one of said elements. HAHAHA.

...MY SASSY GIRL...

I love seeing a scrapbook collection and knowing exactly which photo(s) to pair it with. It makes the creative process quicker, sometimes A LOT quicker since I don't have to search through folder upon folder to find photos to match. Sometimes that part takes longer than even creating a layout.

This photo has always been a favorite of mine and, I think Shaylyn likes it as well, seeing as how she recently had it on her phone as a wallpaper or lock screen - something. The point is, she has access to many photos of herself throughout the years and she chose this one to highlight on her phone.

When I hear the word sassy, my initial thoughts tend to go to my sister's kids. I don't know what happened, but 3 of her 4 kids have sass spilling out of them. However, for once my thoughts stuck with my kids and Shaylyn did have a bit of a sassy period. She's not so sassy these days, but there was a time. I'm just grateful Ailey kind of missed out on that whole attitude kind of thing.
